THIS EVENT IS IN DANISH
Experience opera up close and from behind the curtains when The Royal Danish Theatre visits Absalon and will take us into the world of opera and storytelling.
For this opera evening, we get up close and personal with Mozart’s The Magic Flute, a magical and supernatural tale set in a twisted universe – Nosferatu meets Monty Python meets Viennese classical opera. We’ll hear about the ideas behind the show, listen to excerpts from the performance and learn more about the opera.
Look forward to meeting the evening’s host – opera director Elisabeth Linton, as well as the cast: Louise McClelland Jacobsen (Pamina), Fredrik Bjellsäter (Monostatos), Jonathan Koppel (Tamino) and Frederik Rolin (Papageno).
It’s quite informal, so leave your theatre coat at home and bring your curiosity, because we’ll be watching opera from our flat shoes and with a glass of wine or a cold beer in hand.
We look forward to talking about and watching opera from the Royal Danish Theatre on Absalon’s stage.
With love from all of us,
The Danish Royal Theatre and Absalon
